Helps Even Those Without MS or Other DisorderMay 04, 2012

After much internal debate over spending the 100 dollars, I finally bought this in order to extend my work days further into the heat. I am less tolerant of the heat than I was when younger. Now I can be out well past 10am when it really heats up. I did not opt to purchase a vest to go with my inserts. I just put a set beneath a back support belt. Works fine for me. Might not be good for running or vigorous motion as I wear it. Will hire a friend to make pockets in a garment for me.
Also, as an aside, if you are looking to stay cooler in the sun than I have a strategy: a white, wide-brimmed vented hat, white cotton v-neck shirt, synthetic (moisture-wick) socks and underwear, thin shorts and sun-block on the face and legs. I also wet my hair BEFORE going out in the heat to get a jump on evaporative cooling. I may look like an old man, but this set of tricks has helped me enjoy being in the sun again. And no burning up at night since I am not sunburned. Bring on the summer!
