POOR QUALITY, BIG DISAPPOINTMENTDec 09, 2011
By kip999 I just received today and have to say I am disappointed in the purchase. I placed the batteries and shined it around the home a bit and waited until the evening to see how that bad boy works. It was dark, went out on the porch ready to be impressed, and the unit was dead. What the????
I reinserted the batteries, and tried it again, nothing. I then hit it against the palm of my hand and the light would flicker which each impact. Appears to be a short. I then took out a book and hit it against the book multiple times and after several minutes, it "finally" stayed lit.
Beam was nice, but nothing special for a LED.It is non focusable. I then went through the strobe and other modes, and it quit again... Repeated the same steps and would work until the next time it was turned off.
Needless to say, very disappointed. I paid over 100$ for a flashlight and it is dead on arrival. I do not believe it would stand up to just normal use. Think again before making that purchase. I am glad I am with Amazon which allowed its prompt return. I will look at other brands and certainly read the reviews before the next purchase. I hope the manufacturer reads these, and maybe applies more quality control. For paying top price, you do not expect this.

Excellent lightFeb 15, 2010
By Q. X. Smith Very bright, feels good in my hand, probably the best light I own. Highly recommended especially if you are law enforcement or security.

A serious toolMay 21, 2010
By Handyman This is not your grandfather's flashlight, this is a serious piece of equipment. It's so compact that you will not believe it produces the light that it does. Very bright! You can tell it's a quality piece too and the rear switch has three positions for the ultimate in safety and convenience. The strobe is disorienting and very effective up close. If you want a real piece of equipment, the kind the military and police use, then buy this light.

A Good Light - But With Some FlawsDec 27, 2011
By Big Lou The flashlight came in good time, in good condition and as described. However the light it's self has some flaws. First: I have other flashlights with a 100 lumen or less rating that seem brighter than this one. Second: The batteries drain unbelievably fast. Which is a shame since it takes the expensive and not too common CR123 lithium batteries. Third: The belt clip bends out of shape easily (which leads one to question, is it spring steel? As it should be in this application). Then, obviously, you have to bend it back to it's original shape so that it stays securely on your belt. Now this would not be so bad had they used screws that could be removed with a screw driver that is available on planet earth. I have every screw driver known to man and not single one allowed me to extricate the screws. Thereby forcing me come up with a creative way in re-shaping the belt clip back to it's original tight (and secure) state. In doing so I left some awful tool marks on the flashlight, causing the one week old flashlight to take on the appearance of a ten year old flashlight that has been through a war or two. Granted, had I been more careful the first time around and wrapped the light in a rag I would have avoided damaging the light's finish. So in a way the damage to the light was my own fault, due to my frustrated and hurried approach. Be that as it may, I should not have had to re-form the obviously easily deformable belt clip. The only other bright light (no pun intended) in this dismal tale of an over priced flashlight is that it does fit nicely in the hand and could be used as a very effective deterrent to would be muggers, due in large part to the rather vicious knobby protrusions on either end of the light. That said there many other lights that offer the same or similar features (albeit with a claim of far fewer lumens). But because I don't feel that the lumens are anywhere near the stated lumen output the last point is rendered moot, in my opinion. At the end of the day, it is a nice flashlight for the most part, but worth nowhere near the $200 + price tag. But then these are the dangers in buying items like this on line without being able to handle it and test it in person. It is my opinion that one could better (or at least the same) if they buy a cheaper light with the same or similar specs. One manufacturer that comes to mind would be Fenix. Their lights are surprisingly cheap for their rated (and personally tested) lumen output. I have one (a little key chain one) that takes one AAA battery (cheap and easy to come by) that has a rated 80 lumen output and is very bright for the size. The one AAA battery lasts for a very long time. So in the end this light will not break the bank to buy or to continue producing light. Hope this of help to both the consumer and the manufacturer. Ideally the consumer comes away with an unbiased review of the light, and conversely the manufacturer comes away with some honest field tested feedback allowing the to improve their product in the future. Thanks for your time, and the opportunity to be heard.
Regards, Lewis.
