The Instructions Are Seriously LackingAug 27, 2010 I must be retarded because I cannot get the dynaflex to keep going. All of the instructions on the internet and in the accompanying video on the disk that comes with the dynaflex do a lousy job of explaining how to get the thing going. They just add to the frustration with their shortcomings. They couldn't even spell the video file correctly. "Gyro Instructioal.mpg"
The guy on the video disk, Bruce Pechman (seriously?), does not move the dynaflex the way he is saying he is moving it. His motion completely contradicts what he is saying. He says, "Left and right, up and down", and yet his hand is just wobbling left and right. He then says, "You see that?" Uh, no, I do not see that because your hand is blocking my view of what the green part of the dynaflex is doing. There needs to be a view from above the ball. Also, there needs to be instructions that tell you how to know if you are doing it right or wrong. For instance, when I get it spinning I can hear the inner green ball bumping and grinding against the inside of the dynaflex. Is it supposed to do that? Also, he makes a big point about the alignment of the groove when starting it to spin, but as soon as it starts to spin, the groove does not stay in the same orientation. Is that supposed to happen?
What exactly am I supposed to be looking and feeling for? There is nothing in any video which explains that.
As far as the string goes, I do not understand how people say that gets it spinning faster than doing it with your hand. It doesn't.
misleading adAug 18, 2010 I ordered this product at a great price. It was supposed to be the Powerball and a docking station.
What I received was only the docking station.
It took 6 contacts (email, voicemail, online chat) to learn that someone made a mistake on the ad.
I could have accepted receiving only the powerball, at least it's usable, but only a docking station???
They finally agreed to credit my account and let me keep the docking station "as a gift for all the hassle."
So, good and bad. I got my money back but I didn't get the product I ordered at the price advertised.

Unnecessary. Makes using the dyna-flex more difficult.Jul 26, 2010 This is a very unnecessary tool. With very little practice, it becomes easier to just use a few flicks of your thumb to get the dyna-flex started. It even makes things more difficult, as it won't keep the internal gyroscope in place as it reaches higher speeds, making it so that you have to try over and over again to get the thing running. I wish I had saved my money.
Dock does NOT work at allJul 15, 2010 This is my second order of the same product. I had difficulty with the first one, so I sent it back.
Now they send me one with a dock that does NOT SPIN AT ALL. I have tried three different sets
of batteries, so that isn't the problem. Again, I have to send this product back.
Horrible experience!!
Okay, but nothing to get excited overJun 29, 2010 I purchased the DynaFlex Docking Station with Blue Powerball 12075 Strengthening System with the idea of strengthening my grip and adding another dimension to training my arms and shoulders. I'd say the benefits have been mixed.
First, I've never been able to get the Docking Station to work. I've tried it many times, but it never gets the Powerball up to sufficient speed. I've also tried the chop and thumb flick methods of starting the Powerball. They do not work, either. Only the string seems to work.
Once the Powerball is up to speed, it does give the grip a good challenge. I suppose it has some benefit for that. It might also help for wrist problems, if it doesn't make them worse. However, as for working the arms, it will stress them out quickly, but I'm not sure it's all that great for conditioning.
