I've carefully examined the Hook & Go web site and the [distinctive] "Lousy Wheels" look unchanged from my 'Beta' version, as does everything else. Also, the sliding 'plastic' block that locks the unit in it's open position broke ['on its own'] last summer & is now held together with hi-grade duct tape.

Excelent But Lousy Wheels, May 10, 2008
I got mine about 4 years ago from Canada before it was offered by USA outlets and although it pained me to pay some US$50 with S&H, it's really a back-saver shopping by foot in my hilly neighborhood. It doesn't catch your heels as the old carts did for me and after you learn to place, counter intuitively, heavier bags further out on the hook arm, pulling it around is a breeze.
At about 7 pounds. it's a bit awkward, even folded, to tote around - I'd have found a [removable?] shoulder-strap helpful. The rubber tip to the 3rd-leg that lets it stand erect wore out early and as it fits a square rather than a round [cane-type] rod, replacements are hard to find. The rubber caps covering the ends of other metal parts soon fell away.
BUT, the wheels are the MAJOR drawback. The artificial rubber "tires" simple wore to shreds after less than 30 hours "roll Time" on city sidewalks & streets. I wanted to buy a quality replacement elsewhere but although similar wheels but of top quality are widely offered, Hook&Go's axle size is very unusual so I was stuck for 6 months, 1st locating & then buying their own replacements, which are themselves now wearing out after an improved but still unacceptable 75 hours [tops] usage.
A Tip About Convenience: I do find bumping up and down the few stairs I must traverse to be awkward but by grasping [with one hand at the approximate balance point] the arm itself from which the bags hang, 2 or 3 stairs are a snap. Do note, however, not to overload Hook&Go or things start bending out of shape - I try not to go much over 50 pounds.

An ingenious product for city dwellers. Every week we walk a little over a half mile to the local Trader Joe's, and we could not shop there without this clever device. It folds up conveniently and has a comfortable handle for carrying while folded. It holds all of our plastic or chico bags filled with heavy groceries and saves wear and tear on our shoulders. It rides quickly and smoothly through the city streets. It does not work well with paper bags, so if you don't like using plastic, get some chico bags. They hook right on to the frame when it's folded. My husband, who is an engineer, says the frame is well-made and sturdy, although he has already ordered new wheels because he's not pleased with the quality of the original wheels. So far, I've only used the original wheels and had no problem with them.

This snazzy carrier is a lifesaver at conventions, flea markets, and during the crazy holiday shopping months. It should be called the hook and go,go, go. I am a firm believer of shop till you drop...with this product I have to change my strategy to shop till you're broke. I could go for days stuffing my bags and this cart holds it all. It's compact and portable so I can navigate the crowded shopping area and manipulate it through the aisles with ease. it folds up to less than half it's size so i don't need to take up extra room when carpooling to the fairs, unlike the four wheeled carts. Even the 2 year old loves to push this cart around which can be tilted to accommodate the shorter shoppers. Price is a little higher than I was comfortable with but after one use at the fair this little work horse proved to be worth every penny! And the bonus...when others stopped to admire the cart, I had an open field to grab the deals. Can't wait to take it to Brimfield where the rough footing can't slow us down.
