WTF!?!?Feb 14, 2010
By R. Cofer I ordered this thermometer for New Years Day cause I was cooking a Standing Rib Roast. I had it for a week, and it worked. On the day I needed it the freaking thing stop working! Sorry piece of crap! I had to rush to Sears to buy another model. The shipping was excellent and the company I brought it from is first-class, but the Maverick Digital Roasting Thermometer and Timer is a cheap piece of dookie! What can you expect for under 10 dollars?
Worked for three sugaring seasonsJan 19, 2012
By C. Carrie For three years, I used this thermometer in my backyard sugar shack to warn me when my sap was close to becoming syrup. The entire unit (not just the probe) was constantly exposed to wide temperature swings (from -15C up to 25C) and extremely high humidity (due to the length of the probe lead, I had to put the unit right in the column of steam coming off the boiling sap).
It finally failed last April.
Considering the conditions I used it in, I'd say that I got my money's worth.
