Trackstick worked pretty well in Europe with our rental car, albeit messing with the software settings a little. It's not as difficult as it first looks, as with most new programs. The first time I used Trackstick the red map routes it created were a little jumpy, but I quickly learned that it was my fault for not giving it time to connect to the satellites. Just set it outside facing the sky for a minute or so until the light turns green and after that you're pretty much good to go anywhere. Just bought a new one after losing my other. It's definitely a good way to show off your vacation to people. I just love seeing all the squiggly lines going throughout the maps.
I also purchased the Super for its battery life, and must agree with the recommendation for rechargeables, which is mostly a common sense thing if you plan on using this a lot.
Also one of the nicest manuals I've seen for a product like this or any other. Quite graphical and easy to navigate.

Ok, so it's a pretty basic looking design but I'll bet for a good reason. I was able to hide it on a company vehicle last week and caught my driver spending 2 hours at his house each day around lunch time. No, I don't plan on firing him but he now knows that I am aware of what he is up to each day. For less than two hundred bucks, I was able to save the company a bunch of money from wasted time.
I will be asking the boss to buy six more of these for all of our trucks.

There are literally dozens of reasons to use a Trackstick GPS vehicle tracking system. I never thought I would see the day that I put a tracking device in one of my personal vehicles or company cars. Then it hit me, when my children started driving, I realized that young drivers sometimes make very poor decisions. And that goes for employees too as drivers don't always choose the most time or fuel efficient routes. With the Trackstick II, Super Trackstick and Trackstick Pro, I was able to help everyone make better decisions. IF this is one of your concerns, you should seriously look into purchasing a Trackstick auto tracking device. Collect data, and download it to the free Tracksitck Manager Windows based PC software and Google Earth. You will then be empowered to learn if there are problems, and you can make the necessary decisions to correct them.

I wasn't sure about this when I first started looking around for GPS loggers. It had mixed reviews around the web but eventually I settled on the Trackstick Pro because it seemed the most promising for what I needed it for: to get an idea of a few delivery routes for my restaurant.
Well, it did just that, and flawlessly! I couldn't be more pleased. Granted, the installation is really just that; installation. It takes some handiwork and a few minutes of your time. But it's not so bad if you follow the helpful instructions, complete with photos, provided for this exact model in the Trackstick manual.
But once you're up and running, believe me you'll get the results you're looking for. I can basically see months of collected route data and the exact vehicles that are going too slow or straying off their course. In the long run, Trackstick has definitely saved my business some unneeded expenses.
