Received with dead battery, now unit errors, zero supportAug 08, 2009
By EP in TX Bought the Hawk UV meter from ANTOnline (which was a fine transaction, they are reasonable and fast on shipping, have bought several items from ANTOnline). I received this Hawk UV meter with a dead included battery new out of the box. That should have been my first clue that it was defective. Hawk sent a battery and it worked for two months the remainder of summer last year, put it away in the box it came in, this year battery dead again, purchased a pack of batteries since it seems to go through them even when not in use. Now unit will not read over "3" at 1PM CDT when it should be reading 10 or 11 in the bright Texas sun. Tried contacting Hawk, got zero response, no support for their product after it goes out of warranty. $25 down the toilet.
